Splits
Annika loves to watch her brother do gymnastics. I think when she is three I'll start her as well. She loves to practice her summersaults and handstands. Today she said to me, "Look mommy. I bits mommy." It took me a second to figure out what she was saying. I saw her standing with her legs about 2 feet spread apart. She was doing the splits. :)

What's been goin on...
Been a busy, but good month!
Nolan was sick last week. Missed school every day except Friday. We took him to the Dr. on Wednesday. I was really worried about his cough. He had bronchitis. He hates the antibiotics, but will choke it down if he can have an oreo afterward. He was so ready to go back to school!Nolan was the spotlight in church today. I don't think his smile could have got any bigger!
Annika has been talking and communicating so much better this last month. It is soooo much fun! I need to write down the cute things she says more often, so I don't forget.
I love to hear her pray. She'll "bwess" each person she can think of to "seep" (sleep) good. I'm not kidding, she'll go on for a couple of minutes. She loves to go to the duck pond to feed the ducks and geese. She loves to go to the library. They have a giant stuffed pony there that she talks about all the time. She loves to read books! She loves to listen to Nolan read books. She loves to take her little princesses or "guys" and line them all up. She loves to be a little mommy to her babies. She loves Nursery and her friends. She loves to sing and has such a sweet little voice. She loves to color, do "homework," and draw circles. She is doing excellent at going potty a few times a day on the big girl potty.
Something cute today: When Nolan gets ready to take his sunday shirt off he comes to one of us and says, "top button," if he needs us to undo his top button so he can do the rest. Well, today when Annika was ready to take her church dress off, she came to me and said, "top button." :) Even though it didn't have any buttons. She does everything Nolan does. Everything!
I've been pretty much busy as well. I still love doing hair and it's been so nice to have a little spot in my house I can do it. I also have a little boy Annika's age I've started watching during the day and will be a couple times a week. He is such a cute little boy and it's fun to bring out all the cars and trucks and have that wonderful little boy energy around the house. Gives me an idea of how it would be having twins, actually since the two are only a month apart. The mommy is my friend, Angela, from high school. She married an Adam as well. haha. And her little boy's due date was the day Annika was born. Kinda strange! Also, I've been busy with my Etsy shop. I've had really good success in the couple of months I've been on there. I believe I'm up to 24 or 25 hairbows that I've sold and 2 hats. It's been fun. Not long and I'll be making a profit on this little biz. :) Takes a little while with all the supplies you need to buy. On Friday I'll be in a fundraising craft event in Auburn. Someone found my etsy shop and thought I'd do well, so we'll see. I thought I'd give it a try since there's no booth fee or anything. I just need to donate one item. I can do that! If it goes well, I'll be doing it once every other month.

Hike to Robie Point
Adam took Nolan on a hike to Robie point. The trail is only .8 miles from our house. We love it! The first time, they hiked for a little while, but didn't make it to the river.
The second day, they made it! We were all going to go, but on the short drive to the trail, Annika fell asleep. We thought we would just push her in the bike trailer, but when we pulled it out of the trunk, the newly pumped tires were deflated. Oh well! So, Adam took Nolan. Then, once Annika woke up, we came back to see how far we'd get. I was so surprised at how far that gal could hike. We went a total of about 2-3 miles and most of that, Annika was walking. She did great! Adam and Nolan made it all the way to the water and we walked back together. They hiked a total of almost 3 1/2 hours. Nolan is a great hiker! We were proud of him. When we got back to the house, he showered and started screaming in pain from his feet hurting him. Poor kid. He fell asleep before eating dinner and was out cold. I'll post a video...
