#14 Things That Make Me Smile... :)

#14. Well, I guess I haven't been very good about sharing something every day that makes me smile because that would probably get really boring. Today, Nolan and I were coloring out of one of his giant coloring books. I was noticing how lightly he was coloring and mentioned it to him. Normally, he likes things nice and bold and dark, so it surprised me to see him coloring this way. He said something along these lines, "Well, I'm trying to think like a grown up and grown ups don't color so dark, so I'm trying to be more grown up and color lighter." Wow! I just kind of smiled to myself. I've said before how some of the things that come out of Nolan's mouth are so different that what you would expect a 5 year old to say. I hope my boy doesn't try and grow up too fast, but it's fun to see him mature in just little ways like this.
