She's walking!!!

Jump Rope For Heart

Yesterday, was Jump Rope For Heart Day. We went to go watch the kids jump rope for about a half hour. It was cute watching all the Kindergarteners trying to figure out how to do this. I haven't worked much with Nolan on jump roping, but maybe I should start. :P He did pretty good. When he actually got it around and under his feet he was very proud of himself. :)

Goodbye!

For the past couple of weeks, after Annika wakes up, I've been taking away the binky right away saying, "bye bye binky!" Well, today after she woke up, I didn't do it right away. I was changing her diaper first and suddenly, Annika takes out her binky and says, "goodbye." Except, it sounded more like, "ga bye." I was proud of her for doing it all by herself.

Also, Annika has really liked drawing/coloring lately. She sits at Nolan's table and feels like such a big girl. The other day I asked if she would like to color Nolan a picture and give it to him when he came home. So she colored a beautiful picture for him. When he came home, I had her hand it to him. Nolan was tickled to pieces! :) Well, yesterday, I saw Annika grab a piece of paper and head over to the table to color. When she was all done she handed it to Nolan with a great big smile. :) She loves to impress her big brother.

More Hats!

I've been crocheting so much lately, I've got a sore thumb. :P But, I love it! The store I've been making stuff for is requesting more boy hats, so I've come up with a few more styles. They also want lots more of the bows with skulls on them. Not exactly what I'd put in my little girls hair, but OK! They seem to be very poplular right now. So, I'll post some more ideas I came up with soon. Check out what I've got so far with hats: cuteasabuttonlittleboutique.blogspot.com. Coming next, will be a dinosaur hat.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I love this beautiful time of year!

Nolan gave a talk in primary today about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and how he made it possible for us to return and live with Him and Heavenly Father again by following His example. He did such a good job! Every word was heard loud and clear. ;)

Easter Fun

Today I took Nolan, Annika, and these two little boys to the fairgrounds for an Easter Egg Hunt. It was fun, but boy it sure makes me appreciate families with young children all close in age. :) Funny how it takes 10 minutes or more just to load everyone up in the carseats. heehee. Fun! Well, we got to take a picture with the Easter bunny. The little boy Annika's age wouldn't go near him. Nolan looks like he's crying, but the sun was just in his face. I couldn't get Annika to look at me one single time. She was so amazed with everything going on around her.

It was over almost as soon as it begun. They blew the horn and Nolan went runnin! The other boy just stood there so I had to eventually go out with him, trying to get him to pick up "the leftovers." A little tricky while trying to keep an eye on the two youngest kids.

I know Nolan had fun, but as we were leaving I kinda thought to myself, "what was the point of that?" So, I was almost thankful, even though I felt bad at the same time when we saw someone from our ward coming toward us with his two young kids. He said they arrived 3 minutes late and it was practically over. Wow! So, their baskets were pretty much empty. I asked Nolan if he would like to share some of his candy with these kids. He was more than happy to. Nolan loves to share and has always been very good at this. He probably would have given up all his candy if they stayed there much longer. I was now glad we came so Nolan could have another opportunity to do as Jesus would do. I told him Jesus would be very happy with his choice.

My Loves

Nolan brought home this cute little Easter Bunny Basket today that he made at school. I love it! Nolan is on Spring Break starting tomorrow, or I guess starting now!

Such a happy girl, considering two of her molars came through at once. Maybe that partly explains the extra fussiness. Mommy chose a bad time to take away the binky. :P Oh well, we're doing good. No going back now.

BYE

I love this little video of Annika. She is getting to be such a big girl. I first noticed her saying, "bye," which sounded more like, "baaaa," a week or two ago when we were downstairs and Nolan left. She said it over and over again and I finally realized what she was saying. So, now Annika loves to stand on this little footstool in front of the window and say, "bye" every other second as you can see. She's been talking a lot more in the last few days since I've been trying to give her the binky only during naps and bedtime. So, there's been a lot more screaming, wailing, and noise in our house lately, but hopefully it'll be worth it. Annika took her first steps by herself yesterday. I was walking her around outside and she saw the kitty and walked out of my hands to go see the kitty. So, now I KNOW she can do this! We'll see if she'll do more today. I just need a distraction for her.

Easter Bunny

Tomorrow, I'm taking some more bows, clips and these Easter Bunny Hats into the store. I'll post some pics of the different ones I made on my other blog soon, but here's how the Easter Bunny Hats look. I've been having so much fun doing this.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who is helping me get this started! Also, by passing the word along. I love it when I get a request to make something for someone.

Special Corner

This is Nolan's special corner of the house to do homework, draw, etc. Annika loves to observe everything he does. She'll stand right along side him as he does his work. Nolan loves it!

Did you know that Woody actually rides a skateboard instead of a horse? Well, he does.

Spring Is Here!

I love this time of year, except for the itchy, watery eyes. Since this is the first Spring that we've lived in this house, it's fun to see what has popped out of the ground. :)
