Easter Fun

Today I took Nolan, Annika, and these two little boys to the fairgrounds for an Easter Egg Hunt. It was fun, but boy it sure makes me appreciate families with young children all close in age. :) Funny how it takes 10 minutes or more just to load everyone up in the carseats. heehee. Fun! Well, we got to take a picture with the Easter bunny. The little boy Annika's age wouldn't go near him. Nolan looks like he's crying, but the sun was just in his face. I couldn't get Annika to look at me one single time. She was so amazed with everything going on around her.

It was over almost as soon as it begun. They blew the horn and Nolan went runnin! The other boy just stood there so I had to eventually go out with him, trying to get him to pick up "the leftovers." A little tricky while trying to keep an eye on the two youngest kids.

I know Nolan had fun, but as we were leaving I kinda thought to myself, "what was the point of that?" So, I was almost thankful, even though I felt bad at the same time when we saw someone from our ward coming toward us with his two young kids. He said they arrived 3 minutes late and it was practically over. Wow! So, their baskets were pretty much empty. I asked Nolan if he would like to share some of his candy with these kids. He was more than happy to. Nolan loves to share and has always been very good at this. He probably would have given up all his candy if they stayed there much longer. I was now glad we came so Nolan could have another opportunity to do as Jesus would do. I told him Jesus would be very happy with his choice.
