It was over almost as soon as it begun. They blew the horn and Nolan went runnin! The other boy just stood there so I had to eventually go out with him, trying to get him to pick up "the leftovers." A little tricky while trying to keep an eye on the two youngest kids.
I know Nolan had fun, but as we were leaving I kinda thought to myself, "what was the point of that?" So, I was almost thankful, even though I felt bad at the same time when we saw someone from our ward coming toward us with his two young kids. He said they arrived 3 minutes late and it was practically over. Wow! So, their baskets were pretty much empty. I asked Nolan if he would like to share some of his candy with these kids. He was more than happy to. Nolan loves to share and has always been very good at this. He probably would have given up all his candy if they stayed there much longer. I was now glad we came so Nolan could have another opportunity to do as Jesus would do. I told him Jesus would be very happy with his choice.
