Question

Ok, you bread makers. I have a question. For the last few times I've made bread, when I pull it out, it's sunken down. Why? It tastes great and I'm not opening and shutting the oven door throughout the process, so why does it sink down? The bread is nice and fluffy and the dough rises great, but than it sinks to about the bread pan level. Is it because I'm mixing it too long in my bausche? I just mix it for 6 minutes like the directions say. It didn't use to do this, so I'm lost...

You're not mixing it too much. Are you letting it raise a little too long? Sometimes when I do that, it will sink.

Oh, ok. I normally let it rise for about an hour, so maybe I need to try less.

Not enough flour. I have had that problem since I moved to Colorado. My mom, insists that is my problem. She is coming into town next week to give me a demo. I will let you know how it goes. When people are use to making rolls they start to leave the dough too sticky. This won't give the bread enough structure to stay risen. It will just flop. Is your dough sticky to the touch.... it shouldn't be.

P.S. I still don't know how to buy anything off of your cute-as-a-butoon sight and I want to. I want the dinasaur hat and a few bows. Tell me the prices and I will send you a check.

My dough is DEFINITELY sticky to the touch. I guess I'm paranoid to add too much. That is good to know... thanks! I'll get started on the dinosaur hat. What size would you like? For the bows let me know which ones you like and I'll let you know if I've got the ribbon to make the exact one or if we can do something similar. I can either make it available in that store gadget thingy if you have paypal or a check is fine too. Oh and the dinosaur hat, for a child would be $15. And let me know about which bows and I can tell you the price and figure out shipping costs once I get em made. I'm still trying to figure that part out. :)Also, for the dinosaur, do you like those same colors, or anything different?

Sometimes when I make bread it raises so much that it sticks to the pan next to it and when I pull it apart, it sinks, or if you even touch it after it's risen, it sinks.

That's pretty much what happened this time. The last couple of times my bread has sunk, but this last time it sunk REALLY bad, probably cuz I touched it. Oops! I saw it deflate right before my eyes and knew there was no hope! haha.
