Science Project

Does this look familiar or what? Nolan had so much fun with this! Really.  Who wouldn't when it comes to making cookies! I didn't want to be the parent that did this project for him, so Nolan was up til 9:30 finishing this up with me.  He usually goes to bed by 7:00.  He had until Friday, but I didn't want him to be the kid who procrastinated til the last day.  Anyways, it's funny...no matter how many times you read through something before printing it out, it looks perfect and it's not till you have it all on the board when you notice the errors.  But, that's OK! I'm proud that he typed most of it all up himself! Last major project of the school year!

Parker Is 5 Months!

Parker is 5 months old today! He is growing. He's a handsome little boy. He loves to roll over and be on his back so he can do his exercises. He sometimes threatens to start crawling...but he's not allowed to yet. He's still my baby! He's starting to get good at sitting up for a few seconds.  And then he slowly starts to bend in half.  It's hard to get a non fuzzy picture of him because he's always squirming.  He has a strange sleeping pattern.  One night he slept for 12 hours straight! The next two nights, it felt like he was nursing nonstop all night.  If I knew that's how it would have been, i would have went to bed earlier.  :P I am a night owl these days.  It's the only time I can get projects done.  I sure do love this little boy! He loves his Daddy! This morning, he was fussing when I was holding him.  The minute I gave him to his Daddy, he was just fine! He loves his brother and sister too! He laughs laughs laughs at them! I'm pretty sure he loves his Mommy too! :) His head turns to follow me wherever I go and when our eyes lock, he gives me some sweet smiles! He has so many different expressions.  Here are just a few!

I always know when Parker is DONE with his rice cereal.  He starts sucking on his thumb.  I try to keep pulling it out to get him to have a few more bites.  Then, I finally give in! (I wonder if he'll be a lefty like his Daddy and Mommy).

The First Step

Today the first main step was taken! Hooray! Adam and his Mom met with a business broker specializing in restaurants today.  He seemed optimistic about the business being sold at the price we would need.  It feels good to get this show on the road! I think everyone is getting more and more anxious to move on.  Whether we MOVE is still up in the air.  Spence has a plan that may keep us here in California after all.  We shall see.  ;) We'll take one step at a time and do what feels right.

Parker's Baby Shower

A couple of months ago, I did a craft fair at Sierra Ridge Memory Care.  They asked if I could come back again soon to give Parker a baby shower.  We went back today.  It was sweet!

Annika was a little shy at first.  They had a gift for her and one for us to give to Nolan.  She warmed up eventually.

I think  her favorite part was when the doggies came to visit. 

All this excitement wore him out! Annika told us that we shouldn't give him a shower.  That would wake him up.  It took me a minute, but I finally got it!  We were going to a baby shower after all.  :)

This doggy was wearing a cute little dress.  Annika thought it was a little silly.  I agree.  :)

Fairy Tale Land

I took Annika to Fairy Tale Land on Thursday. We don't really get out of the house much, so this was fun for her! I took just a few pictures...
