One of my favorite Sundays...the Primary Program. This kids sounded beautiful. This was Annika's first year in the Primary Program. She was so fun to watch. During each song, the Sunbeams stood right along the front. It's fun to watch them and see each of their personalities stand out. Annika sang nice and loud and knew those words to the music so well. Several times throughout the songs, she was a word or two behind the rest of the Primary choir, so she stood out quite well. :) But it was so cute! And she would hold certain notes longer than anyone else, so several times throughout the song, she was the only one still singing. :) I love that she is not shy like I was at that age. The kids did so well during their speaking parts also. Nolan was in a quartet with 3 girls. He said he was never signing up again if it would only be him and girls. :) But, I'm so proud of him for doing it and he did very well!
This was my last week in Nursery and starting next week I'll be teaching Annika's class.
Annika is enjoying preschool. I love hearing about her day. I miss her so much when she is gone. But, I love that she has fun and is making friends. When I go in to drop her off and sign her in, she is a little shy, but they say as soon as I leave, she completely changes. She is very talkative. I am glad that she is not afraid to talk to her teachers. She notices patterns a lot right now and is always pointing out patterns and drawing them. I love it.
Nolan is doing well in school too. He doesn't care for the homework part of it, but he is learning so much. He plays soccer during recesses. Nolan has always had a strong sense of what's right and wrong and doesn't appreciate it when other kids don't follow the rules. Nolan loves scouts and earned his wolf badge this last pack meeting.
Parker is a handful. He loves to explore and make messes. He is a true boy! He is always chattering away, but doesn't say a whole lot of real words. He is in the car a lot (I figure I spend at least 2 1/2 - 3 hours a day dropping off kids at school and picking them up), which might explain his first 3 worded sentence, "See that truck!" Parker loves sneaking in Annika's room when she accidentally leaves her door open and play with her toys. He also loves getting into the shampoo and conditioner drawer in the bathroom, which have pumps on them and pump out all the product everywhere. :P He loves to go outside, usually barefoot and stomp around, hop on the hopscotch, play with sticks, play in the dirt...all that good stuff. He loves having time alone during the day with Mommy, but also loves when Nolan and Annika are home. We love him so much!
